Our story began not with E-mails, or phone calls, no it started with good old fashioned LETTERS! Doug's parents, Kris and Terry kept trying to get me to write Doug while he was on his mission. Well after a few months of them asking " Have you written my son yet?"and him only having 6 months left on his mission I decided to finally write him. I figured that this was probably the best way because if I didn't like him or if he didn't like me it was no big deal we just had to stop writing each other and that was it, end of story. Well as you probably can tell Kris and Terry knew something we didn't.I wrote him and we hit it off from the beginning. He would be anxious for my letters (after all that is the things missionaries wait for) and I couldn't wait for his. So we wrote for the last 6 months of his mission and then dated for 6 months! I knew on the 1st date I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. We were engaged on February 13 and married for Time and all Eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 19 2006.
Doug and I were married for Time and All Eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 19,2006. On April 27, 2009 we welcomed our first baby Karston Douglas Purcell into our little family. On May 28, 2011 our second little man arrived Jayden Kevin Purcell. They truly are our greatest gifts! Doug is the Energy Specialist at Idaho Falls Power by day and Farmer by night. I am loving life as a stay at home mom and getting the chance to watch my little men grow, and hopefully become strong, good, valiant men! We love to travel, camp, snowmobile, and spend the time we have here making memories and just being together.
