I had the opportunity of going back to New York to perform at Carneige Hall with my very favoirte composer John Rutter. It was the most amazing experience ever standing on that stage and being able to be a part of such a neat event. Doug was able to go and do a lot more than I have been able to but I wouldn't have changed anything! It was awesome!

IT'S A .....

Well we have had a couple appts and they all have been wonderful So not it's time to find out if we are having a boy or a girl.... I was so nervous I was hoping it would be good and not honory so we could find out. After all we only have the one Ultrasound unless something is wrong that Ins will cover. So it was December 3, 2008 we got up and before Doug left I had him give me a blessing that we would be able to find out what we were having and that he would be developing just right. I was really nervous and excited. Everyone has been saying we were having a boy but I was really hoping for a girl. But whatever it was just as long as it was okay I didn't care. So I downed my 32 oz of gatorade and off we went to our appt at 8:00 am. Everything looked good we found out that we ARE HAVING our little KARSTON! It is a boy and a not very shy boy at that. I guess we asked to find out and he showed us 6 times. He loves his hands he is going to take after his dad. Strong arms. His little feet were so cute. He would not let us see his face. We finally got a side profile but other than that it was his hand. He kept waving his little hand at us it was sooooo dang cute.
My first response was dang it I have to send him on a mission. Not that there is anything wrong with that I just think I will have a hard time with not seeing my baby for 2 years. But I know that he needs to go. Now my job is to raise him to want to do so. Nobody told me how stressful this was before hand. I guess that is what its like you start to worry about your babies from day 1 before they are even out and it never ends.
Doug was really cute he never said anything but I could tell that he was trying not to cry. He had the sweetest little look on his face. It was AWESOME! Then after the appt he was anxious to call everyone. We went to Smith's bought some candy Snickers with the blue wrappers and I took them to work. We called people on the way home and then I ran to the bathroom. Turns out Karston dosn't like 32 oz of gatorade cramed down in less than 30 minutes at 7:30 am. Oh well he was good in the Ultrasound!

We're having a baby my baby and me!!!!

September 21,2008 We had a wonderful Surprise! We found out we are having a baby! I was so excited that I didn't even do anything really special for Doug! I just called him up and told him. Then I called Dr. Hall's office and told them and scheduled my first appointment for October 22! Then I got ready for work and the first thing I did was get my blood test!!! Sure enough it was right my numbers were AWESOME! We are so excited we can't wait! We hoped everything was good because we went to Lagoon and rode all the CRAZY rides that weekend oops! Can't wait to find out!

The Scary Yet Exciting Proposal!

My proposal would have to be the best date I have ever had with Doug! He picked me up and took me to the one and only place to eat... SIZZLER! After we had a yummy meal we were walking out in the freezing cold Idaho winter weather (actually by then it was starting to warm up just a smidge) he opened my door for me (what a Gentleman) I got in and he got out a blind fold. I'm thinking strange but whatever. You see my dates with Doug I never really knew what to expect. I mean on my second date I had to use the bathroom and we were four wheeling so we stopped and I used this little outhouse well it was dark and this particular outhouse once you were in you couldn't get out. I had to yell for Doug and he had to come to my rescue. So Embarassing! So anywh0... I'm blindfolded and Doug is driving me through all these fields and places. I had no IDEA where we were or what was going on. Well We finally get to our destination and I hear Doug get out. He comes over and opens my door and the first thing I hear is him cocking his GUN! I'm sitting there thinking great my life is over then the next sound that I hear are waterfalls... wonderful he is going to shoot me and then throw me over into the falls. So he grabs my hand I am shaking and he takes me to this one spot and he tells me that he is going to take off my blind fold and that I am to just look and not say ONE word just look! I'm sitting there thinking yah right. So he takes the blindflod off and I instantly start to say something and he tells me to be quiet. (That was so hard for me) So I look just as I am told and I see the Temple with the moon on the side of it. Then I was thinking oh how sweet we are going to have dessert out here in the moonlight looking at the temple. Well again I was wrong he asked me what I thought about when I saw the temple. So I told him I saw Eternal Families, a place of safety, etc. He told me what he thought about of course MARRIAGE was in there but being the blonde that I am I still didn't get what he was doing. So he turned me around and said " If I promise to stay worthy to continue to go there will you promise me something?" I hesitantly said sure and then he got down on one knee and said " Will you promise to go with me and marry me?" People probably heard me clear to Rexburg I was so excited. I just kept jumping up and down saying yes yes yes! He picked out my ring all by himself and it was exactly what I have always wanted! We then went home and called every single person I could possibly think of! What a GREAT NIGHT!!!!!
