HAPPY NEW YEAR... A WEE BIT LATE!

Well I can't believe it another year has come and gone. It is amazing how time flies when you are having the best life ever. So I have been contemplating for a while now on what I would like to accomplish in the year of 2010! I think I finally have my "10things to do before 2011 comes list."
1. Attend the temple with Doug at least once a month!
2. Be better at reading my scriptures alone and with my family!
3. Be better at saying prayers morning and night with my honey and alone!
4. Keep a journal!
5. Do FHE!
6. FINISH SCHOOL!
7. Make a memory with Karston and Doug every day and write about it!
8. Get a job!
9. Be better at keeping my home a place where the spirit can dwell. So in other
words CLEAN!!!
10.HAVE LOTS AND LOTS OF FUN!!!

I know most of them have to do with churchy stuff but as we all know times are getting tougher and I know that as family's if we don't have our cups full spiritually when the bad times come it is only that much harder to handle. So I wrote these things down and placed it where I could see it on a daily basis so that I can remind myself of the things I need to do and then maybe by 2010 I can actually look back at my list and be proud for accomplishing these 10 simple but oh so hard tasks! I do have a lot of pictures to post but I need to do it on the old lap top for some reason they won't come up on this computer grrrrr..... I hope everyone has a very great day and a MOST JOYOUS HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Pictures below explanation

For some strange reason I am not able to put catpions next to the pictures so here is your explanation. The first one (If I remember right and if not I guess you will figure it out right!) My little tiny christmas tree. We had no place for a big one so what you see is what we got! My Aunt Kellee gave us this cute little tree to use and actually I love it. No watering to worry about and the best of all no needles to worry about with Karston. Karston is loving trying to open the presents. So far he has opened 1 of his about 4 times I guess he is anxious to get it and he has ripped all the bows and ribbons off. GOOD JOB BABY!!! OHHHH and the big present you see yah that is mine and DOUG... DOUG himself wrapped it. He has this tradition of wrapping presents in our freezing cold basement. I don't know why but I guess he enjoys it. He has done it every year since we have been in this little home. He gets all dressed up in his warm clothes and goes down to start his wrapping adventure! It usually takes him all night, mostly because he has to come up every once in a while to warm his hands but, he loves it so GOOD JOB honey. I am very proud of you. You do a great job! Then the next ones are from our Salt Lake trip when we went swimming. Karston LOVED it. It was so much fun! I look dorky in it because I have this honking huge cold sore on my upper lip which made my whole face look weird. Oh well I am just glad it is gone now, and that I look somewhat normal. Doug had so much fun doing wirls and spins and stuff with Karston. He even had the poor kid jumping off the side into his arms. Of course Karston had some help standing from daddy because he isn't that big to do it alone yet! That is all I got so far but still more to come! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! Love to all!

Brag Letter!

Well I am sad to say I don't have any pictures yet to post but I will be posting them soon. However, in the meantime here are some things we have been doing!
November: Karston and I went to go and get vaccinated for the swine flu and in doing so met and made some great new friends. Carisa, Ethan, and Micah Crook. They are so very much fun and very trustworthy. As we were waiting I was talking to her and found out that they moved her from Indiana (I could be wrong but I think that is right!) So anyway I told her to come and bring her family over for our "Friend Thanksgiving" that we do every year. I was very surprised when they came over. While they were here her mom called to make sure that they were not at some serial killers or something like that. Anyway we had a great time playing games, and eating lots of food!
Thanksgiving day we went to my wonderful mother-in-laws house to have a very yummy thanksgiving dinner with my brother-in-law Brent and his cute family. We then had great fun playing games with my side. If you know my family they get very very wild and very competitive when playing games. In fact it scarred all the little wee ones! oops!
I have been busy decorating my house which isn't all that much and as always working on school. I have now come to the conclusion I will never EVER finish. Just when I think I am really close they throw 300 reports to type your way. HOW RUDE!
Doug is as always AMAZING! He surprises me every day at how smart he is and all I can say is that I hope our kids inherit his smart brain cells! If you ask him he has been working at BPA as a poster child for safety. He gets his picture taken daily in his vast array of safety apparrel. You know the geek goggles, hard hat, and harnessess to name a few. He is learning all the ins and out of OSHA regulations and the GOVERNMENT HARD WORKING ETHICS... HEHEHEHEHEHE! He is quite busy this time of year helping everyone with their christmas lights and making sure that they work. He is feeding about 71 horses every morning in the freezing cold and then he goes and helps Dr. Hall feed his 6 horses. We are so very appreciative for Dr. Hall and all that he has done for our family.
Now for Karston! He as always is SOOOOOOO adorable. I don't even know what we did when he wasn't here. Lately he hasn't been feeling very well. He is getting a total of 3 teeth at once poor little guy. However, even though he is fussy for us everyone else that gets to watch him for a couple of hours so I can do school work says he is still an Angel baby! I just hope they are telling me the truth. :) He is trying really hard to crawl on all 4's but starts the getting the crawling motor rock and then falls flat on his belly and does the army crawl instead. We have been trying to get him to say daddy but he won't he just says momma and hiii and anna.. he has learned how to wave to himself and loves to play with watches, cords, and faces!!!
We are soooo very very thankful for him and for the happiness he brings to our home!
We went on a little family vacation to Salt Lake for the Mo-Tab Christmas choir concert which was incredible as always! Doug, Karston and I went swimming, visited Cabella's, took a little stroll around temple square and went on a carriage ride around downtown salt lake. We had a lot of fun mostly spending time with each other something we don't get to do often enough. So anyway pictures will be coming to tell you about all of these things we did! Sorry it is so long but we had a lot of ground to cover! Happy Holidays and like I said pictures are coming!

HAPPY B-DAY TO ME!!!

On Oct. 13 I turned the wonderful age of 25. Both Doug and Karston were sick that day so this was my day: 7:30 am I take Doug into the Dr., Then I go and get his Prescription, then I go home clean my house, mow my yard, and then went out to eat. Then when I came home this is what I found. There were a dozen orange roses (Thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law Becky) two happy birthday cards that were so sweet from my wonderful husband and my sweet little Karston, and two donuts one chocolate for Doug and one maple for me.(What a creative husband huh) Oh and the Candles make 25. I felt so bad for Doug he had a full blown sinus infection but he still made my day special. Karston had a cold and he was still so happy which always brightens my day! All in all it was a great day! Thanks to everyone who made my day so incredibly special! I love you all!

Yes my husband believes the best way to light candles is with not a lighter but a blow torch!

FAMILY FUN

Here are some random pictures of the little things that bring us so much joy! First my husband hard up for entertainment so he pretends that a dead fish is ready to attack him. Second My husband again hard up for entertainment as he tries to get the two dead fish to fight each other :P
Next my cute little man looking so very handsome in his carseat and lastly my happy little man hanging out in his farm! I love my family so much they make me soooo happy!

Eating, Crazy hat and precious moments, grandpa and me, 4 month pics, darn horses, and doug's b-day!

Eating cereal ALREADY NOOOOOOOOOO!

Well it is official my baby is growing up. He is now eating cereal and he LOVES it. He will see the spoon and he grabs your arm and forces it into his mouth. You barely get the spoon back to get more cereal and he is freaking out my arm can't go fast enough from his mouth to the bowl. Oh well he will live I guess!

The crazy hat and a precious moment

Karston's head was too big for this bib but we thought it was funny so here is his crazy bib hat photo
The other morning I woke up to Karston laughing non-stop. So I went in and he was laying there laughing at this little doll. Then later he was laying on the couch talking to it again and the conversation ended like this. So precious!

Grandpa P. and Me

One thing about Karston he LOVES his grandpas very much. Here he is with Grandpa Purcell. We just thought this was to sweet. He loves to tell Grandpa stories! I sure love you grandpa!
Love,
The kid (aka Karston)

Darn you Horses

So Thursday night is now father and son Bonding time. I have choir practice every Thursday so Doug gets Karston. I was in choir when I recieved a text message saying that Karston has had a very stressfull night. I asked what happened? Doug and Grandpa Purcell took Karston with them to feed the horses. So they were doing their thing when the came to the dark barn. They went in and those darn horses started to make noise and scarred Karston. He cried and cried and then when Doug got home he put Karston in his little farm animal entertainer, well Karston was just fine playing with the pig, sheep, cow, rooster house, and then it happened the worst thing possible he saw the horse... he looked at that horse and then he let it have it he yelled and yelled and yelled at that horse for about 30-40 minutes. We don't think the horses will scar him again..... maybe! Oh well the really good news is that he LOVES LOVES LOVES the four-wheeler.

Daddy and me.... UMMM Doug where are his
socks and shoes?

My handsome baby boy Karston!

Since I have been trying to get done in school I haven't posted the lastest and greatest about Karston. At his 4 month checkup he was : 12#15.5 oz, 24 inches long, and his head was 42.4. He is just the most amazing little guy ever. His nickname at church is Smoosher because of his cute chubby cheeks and angel baby because people can't believe at how very relaxed and easygoing he is. They just haven't seen him hungry. He is a lot like his daddy when it comes to food. When he is hungry he wants it now not 2 seconds from now and he will make sure you know it to. So the first picture is his sad face just to show people he really does cry every once in a while. He is not hungry he is just sad that he hit his face on his little toy tractor. Thanks again Elsha I love LOVE love my pictures!

Oh so sad!

He's even cute in a basket! Look at that face!

I want to grow up and be JUST LIKE DADDY! (That is Karston's favorite book)

Hang loose and Peace bro!

I love love love love love this picture. How could you not love a little face like that! I am so very blessed !

Doug's B-day!

Hello everyone! I know I know I have been horrible at updating so here is what Purcellville has been up to the last few months!
DOUGS' BIRTHDAY!
This year I wanted to do something fun and special for Doug's birthday. So on July 30 (Doug's b-day) Karston and I blind folded Doug and took him to HI-C where we went camping. Then that night we blind folded him again and took him up to the Bar J Wranglers because he had never been there before. Than on Friday we took Karston swimming for the first time. He wasn't quite so sure about the water but we think he enjoyed it then that night we played games and just had fun. On Saturday we took him to Pocatello where we went to Ross Park so much fun we really enjoyed the lazy river so nice! Than Sunday we had a little picnic with his family at our house it was really a very nice weekend. We enjoyed being able to be together for a weekend. We are so very lucky to have him as the head of our household. He is such a good daddy and an even more amazing husband. We love you so much babe!
