A little blob of my thoughts lately.

So this Easter Sunday a very sad event took place. A little boy who belongs to a family that I know passed away due to a four wheeling accident. He was riding with a cousin who just happened to go a little too fast around a corner and unfortunately it flipped and even though CPR was performed rather quickly it was just not meant for him to make it. He was 5 years old.

When I hear of situations like this I often wonder how I would respond. I know the answer obviously would be that no one knows until they are placed in that situation. I hope, as most parents do that I NEVER EVER EVER have to be in that situation to find out. Anyways as I was pondering this tragedy I couldn't help but reflect on some words that I read in the book "Let it Go" by Chris Williams. Fantastic book by the way. Anyways, if you don't know what it is it is a book written by Chris who was involved in an incredibly tragic car accident in which most of his family was killed. The only ones to survive was his son who was at a friends house during this time, his other younger son, and himself. They were hit by a drunk teenage driver. After being hit when Chris looked around he says he had this knowledge as he looked at his pregnant wife and saw her take her last breath he knew that she was gone. Then he looked back at his daughter who's hair was draped over her face and again he knew that she too was gone. Last he looked at his other son and also knew that he was gone. He says as he sat there in those few minutes he had to process things he KNEW he needed to FORGIVE that individual who had done this to his family. He did so too.

Anyways, I recently had the opportunity of going to hear Chris Williams speak at a Time Out for Women event. He told his story and then he said this "I knew my wife and children were taken care of. I didn't need to worry about them anymore. They are well, safe, and okay." He said "Since I knew that they were okay I needed to worry about the one soul still here that needed me. The boy who hit us." I don't know why but I REALLY loved that and how much comfort there is in that line. His family was safe and unable to be harmed anymore.

As I think about this sweet family and know of the difficult road that they have ahead of them. I hope and pray that they will be able to find comfort in that. That once we leave here we are in a safe place free from pain and harm. Although I obviously know there will be sadness and grief and a great sense of loss. We are all on the Lord's time not ours. When we have done what he sent us here to do he will take us back home with him. I am positive that this beautiful little boy so full of life was sent here for a purpose which he fulfilled.

It is sad that sometimes it takes sad events to realize how many blessings we have. I know that I have snuggled my babies TONS more and tell them every second pretty much that I just LOVE them. I really do say it all the time just ask them. I never want them to forget it. I love my family with all of my heart. They are my world. I am INCREDIBLY grateful for the decision Doug and I made to keep ourselves worthy and able to enter into the Temple 8 years ago and be sealed for time and ALL ETERNITY. I want my family forever not just for the time on earth but FOREVER.

So in short I  guess I just want to say... Take time for your family. You never know when it will be the last time you get to hug them, kiss them, and tell them that you are proud of them and that you love them with all your heart. Everyone should always know that and never leave them wondering. Yes it could come across as annoying but honestly I don't care.  So Love to you all or at least to whoever takes the time to read this!

Jaydens SECOND girlfriend.

Many of you probably already know, but my baby boy has had a girlfriend since he was 8 Months old. Her name is not MOM.... I know how dare he right?! It is the one and only Presley Jean. These two are the sweetest little couple EVER. If they do happen to get married one day I will be so excited. She is a dolly and well Jayden is pretty much a baby doll himself therefore, that would mean I would have the most adorable little grandbabies EVER! Ok I might be getting ahead of myself there. But seriously they are so sweet with each other. They make sure each other are okay ALL the time. They hold hands wherever they go. Jayden is always getting things for her. They bicker like a little married couple. My most favorite thing they do is whenever one is leaving they make sure to give each other a hug and a cute little kiss. Anyways we love this little girl and we are so glad these two have each other.

Jaydens 2nd Birthday!

Well now that Jayden is 2 months shy of being 3 I thought it would be nice if I posted his Second Birthday pictures. I know I know your welcome! Man am I ever behind! This little mug shot baby is sooooo fun. He makes our world exciting. He is completely opposite of his brother which is good because well... He isn't Karston he is our Jayder bug! This first picture just cracks me up like no other. He got out of the tub and his hair went all old man crazy and well we hit that "I don't know how to smile" stage as well. Anyways his jammies say it all "Most Adorable" wouldn't you agree! Hahahaha
He apparently decided to tame down the curly old man hair and cover it up with his little beanie. He was stilling my hair products. Little thief. But just look how absolutely adorable he is!
So to start out his birthday we went on a special lunch date with his best friend in the whole wide world...HIS DADDY! Jayden's favorite thing to eat with dad is of course none other than Hamburgers and fries so it was no surprise when we asked him where he wanted to go the answer was "Hamburger and Fries." So McDonalds it was!!!

Cute little baby. The toys were so much fun!

Eating our Hamburger and Fries. Look at these boys of mine. I am the luckiest lady in the WORLD! Love all 3 of them soo much!

This was also after Karston's little fireplace incident which is why he looks a little rough around the edges. After lunch with dad I took my little bug to Toys R Us to let him pick out a present for himself. He picked out a frog to no surprise. I still have no idea why he loves frogs so much but he does.
That evening we had our family over for a little BBQ. The Cox side had a dance event going on so they came later in the evening and Mom was a slacker and forgot to take pictures. But Grandma and Grandpa Cox gave him a cute little circus train. He loves it still.  The Purcell side came and we had a blast. It is always fun having our family together and watch all the cousins mingle and create special memories with each other.

                                                             Jodi and Baby Paige!
                                                                  Ahhh sweet Loves.
Grandma and Grandpa Purcell and Uncle Brent with Baby Bryndyn.

He got all sorts of fun things from his cousins. Fun plates, cars, chairs, outside toys etc. It was great!

Happy Birthday Baby boy. At the age of two your favorites are: FROGS, the color GREEN, you love food, especially Meatloaf and potatoes, you like veggies but you especially LOVE APPLESAUCE. You would eat that all day long if I let you. This year you enjoyed your cake where as last  year you were scared of it. You are scared of Fuzz balls you think they are bugs. You talk in sentences. You do NOT like babies and keep telling me you are my baby and I can't have another one. You LOVE nursery and going to church especially when you get to wear your suit and missionary tag. Your favorite song is "I am a Child of God." you always want that one sung to you when your tired. That and Grandma Purcell's Rock A Bye song which you are always singing to your little frogs in your cute rocking chair. Your favorite shows are anything that has a frog in it like "Princess and the Frog." "Flushed Away." but your most current Favorite is "FROZEN!" You love to sing the song "Let it Go" and I have to say it is pretty darn adorable!  You love to go to work with daddy and in fact you wake up when his alarm goes off at 5:30 you sit up and say "I go get my work boots on its time to go to work." Most importantly you love ALL your grandmas and Grandpas and every day BEG to go to their houses. You specify them by Grandma Purcell is "Grandma White House" Grandma Cox's house is "Grandma Caucus" and Grandma Mullens is just "Grammie and Grampies house."

You light up our lives little man. We are incredibly blessed to have you in our family. You do have a tender little heart and I am so grateful to be your mom. You will always be my baby Jay no matter how big you think you are. Can't wait to see what your 3rd year brings. Which luckily isn't to far away.

4 Generations!

My sister-in-law asked me to take a 4 generations picture for her with her mom and her grandma. These are some of my favorites. This first one I LOVE however, I am very sad that there was a fuzzy or something on my lens. Oh well, I love these 3 ladies so much. I've said it before and I will say it again.... I have the best in-laws EVER! We have so much fun together and I am just blessed. Anyways here are some of my favorites.

Happy Birthday Aunt Jewelle!

This is my little cute Aunt Jewelle! This year she will be 90 and she is just as crazy as ever! We love this lady. I always loved going to Aunt Jewelle's house growing up because well lets face it... who doesn't love getting special presents every time you go some where! She would always take us to the toy store and let us pick out one toy! My favorite was a skip it. It was my most favorite toy EVER! I would totally buy one if I ever saw one. More importantly she is a very strong willed loves her family kind of gal. The kids and I love to go over and give her her medicine and take a ride on her walker. She pretends to be a car and I have to say for a 90 year old this lady can CRUISE! She likes to race me and a lot of the time it is pretty close. She is so funny. The things she says sometimes yes if you weren't 90 could come across very rude, but she can get away with it for some reason. I love this lady and her fun personality. I never got to know her real well growing up but she has done a lot of service in her life. She has shaken hands and spoken with President Thomas S. Monson, she is very smart, has a great love for life, and loves to help others. So here is to another year Aunt Jewelley We LOVE YOU!

Stitches... :(

So in my previous post I mentioned how nice it is to camp at Heise for the reason of  being close in case of an emergency.....Well we actually had a little emergency this summer! This post and the previous post go hand in hand. After doing a few pictures we went back to camp and had some treats. The kids were playing on the grass and the next thing I know Karston is crying and holding his head. He said he hit his head when he moved his hand well blood went everywhere. So I cleaned him up and looked and decided this boy is probably going to need some stitches. First though I wanted to make sure stitches were needed because if not I would hate to throw away money for an unneeded emergency visit. So we called Aunt Jodi and Uncle Blaine! It's so nice having nurses in the family!!!! They looked at it and said ...."Yup Stitches." So off to Urgent care we went.
                                                                  Poor sad baby.
This was the only band aid we had so we went with it!
Hahaha its as big as his forehead! He is so cute!
They came in and cleaned it then put some numbing stuff on it. We had to have him lay down because if this numbing stuff dripped in his eye it could cause some SERIOUS eye problems. So thankfully Karston is pretty easy to just do as he is told. Then came the actual stitching part. That was TERRIBLE. They swaddled him up and that just really made him mad. He screamed and cried and they made me be mean and hold him down. I just kept saying this is for his own good. That is what I have to say to myself when my babies are being hurt. Makes me feel better about torturing them I guess.
Anyways 6 stitches later and we were back to camping. This boy is my camper. He LOVES to camp. Trying to get him to let me take him away from camping and down to the doctor was like trying to put a cat in water. Legs were sprawled arms were pushing against the van door trying to keep me from putting him inside. Seriously it was crazy. I had to PROMISE him that we would be going back to camp. When he finally decided to trust that mom would let him come back he was okay with it but boy did he give me a work out. So as promised we came back to camp even though it was late.
Grampie stayed with Jayden while Grammy and I took Karston in. When we got back grampie had put out the stuff to make Smores since he knows Karston loves doing that. So we all made smores and went to bed.

What an exciting trip this turned out to be. Thank goodness for first aid kits and thank goodness we were close to help and it wasn't worse than it was. I sure love these two babies of mine. They are priceless and I couldn't imagine my life without either one of them!

How many faces can one kid make?

As many of you know we LOVE to go camping! Especially the kids and mom! So this summer we went up to Heise and played there for a few days which is always fun! Plus it is close to home so in case of an emergency or a forgotten item we aren't to far from help, stores, and home. So I decided to see if I could use this cool rock and get an updated picture of my babies. Well folks I think we have reached the stage in my kids life where they are confused at what the word "SMILE" means. This was what we ended up with. Some are kind of cute and some are just plain hilarious! So without further ado the many faces of mostly Karston since Jayden wouldn't hold still long enough for any more than like 3 photos.

Everytime we take pictures we ALWAYS end up with one of Karston like this. If you notice the missionary picture on the side of my blog...yup there it is! Love that face so much!

Wahoooooo! Last picture and we finally have a semi normal Karston smile! Now onto Jayder Bug!
Hahahaha I love that cute little scrunched up nose and crooked little smile!

Now an attempt with getting them both together. Notice how Karston's normal smile magically appears!

Well after a long battle just to get the above pictures mom gave up and we went back to the trailer for apparently some much needed Whip Cream?! I guess it was sitting on the table and well Jayden likes to find things that are just sitting around on the table and make an AWESOME mess!

The WHIP CREAM Monster has emerged! Ahhhhhhhhhh!
While Jayden was becoming the Whip Cream Monster Karston apparently went for a stroll with a roll! :)
Before bed.... Our last attempt of getting a Smile out of this boy..... Yup still  not working!
So there you have it... Camping adventure #1 and we haven't even skimmed the surface with updates yet! Hahahaha I hate it when I get behind on this thing!
