Well since I wasn't going to be here to do a big birthday bash for my baby's 1st birthday we had a couple little parties. This one is up at Grandma Cox's. He wasn't feeling all that wonderful this day, but I did get a cute one of him with his 1st birthday cake!
He pretty much HATED his cake. Didn't like the feel of the frosting or something. I don't know he just didn't want ANYTHING to do with it. Look at the perfect little frosting hand print I got on the side of his head! Cute baby hands!
With some of our favorite cousins Megan and Cody! We love and miss them oodles!
He really wasn't fond of anything Birthday wise that day. Poor little guy!
Well Doug and I have made it to 6 years so far! Wahooo! This year we went down to Lagoon and played for the day. It was lots of fun and the kids loved it. Well at least Karston did. Jayden pretty much slept the entire time. Teething is not fun, and well my kids like to get 3 or 4 at a time which makes it go by faster but still stinks for how very miserable they feel.
On our way down we stopped at a rest stop to get some much needed exercise. It was a pretty little stop so we grabbed some photos. Look at this tough little man trying to walk. Isn't he so handsome! Love him!!!
Karston is at that stage where he really doesn't want his picture taken so this is the only somewhat decent one we got of Doug and the boys. Am I so lucky or what. Look at those handsome boys!
My almost 1 year old!!!! Love those BLUE eyes!
Best one we got with me. See I have to tackle him to look up at the camera!
When we got there we went swimming. There was a high school choral festival going on and this little stud muffin was a hit with the ladies and boy did he put out the charm. He is pretty studly though. He was blowing kisses to them, doing his cute little flirty face and of course who could resist this handsome frog robe!
The next day we went to Lagoon and just played and played! We all loved the carousel!
Doug and the pink pig were a great pair!
Karston loved every second of it. He felt like he was such a big boy getting to ride all by himself!
Jayder bug wasn't very sure of the idea until it started going and then he LOVED it!
Tawnya was there because our niece Talia was performing. I didn't get any pictures of her but she did a great job and it was fun seeing her dance!
Tawnya with her studly little men!
Karston was AWESOME at the bumper cars. He couldn't wait to get in there and drive everywhere. He really did good at avoiding a bunch of the cars but when he did get stuck he quickly figured out how to get out. He is soooo smart!
He really wasn't scarred of any of the rides. They expanded the little kid rides and they are so much fun. He only got scarred on one and that was Pete's Dragon. He kind of had an accident on that one. Poor little guy. I was watching him and I don't think the kid breathed the ENTIRE time riding it. Poor little guy.
This is the mini version of the adult ride The Rocket. He LOVED it. He is so brave. Doug had a little accident on this one but luckily we had a change of clothes for him! (Not really he liked it though)
Anyway it has been a very exciting past 6 years. I can't believe how quickly it has gone by. I love Doug and even though we have our share of ups and downs he has always taken care of us. He truly is a great man, my best friend, and the love of my life! Here is to many many more wonderful years honey! Thanks for the wonderful day!!!
We miss you guys too! The boys are getting so big.We are hoping to get back to Idaho for Christmas. We will probably meet up with Jacquelin and Tyson in Omaha and come back with them. If I can get off work that is. Love you all!
