This year for Easter we had lots of fun! We started off at Grandma Turners I failed to take my camera though so that event was not documented, but it did happen. After Grandma Turners we came home and took a rest for our next adventure at Grandma Richardsons. That afternoon we were invited to Grandma Richardsons for another fun Easter Egg hunt. These are the sweetest people and we are so blessed to live across the street from them. We just love em!
Jayden was still pretty tired as you can tell. So sweet falling asleep on Grandma K while she played "Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar" With all the other kiddos while they waited for the eggs to be hidden. The lineup of children before the BIG hunt began. Jayden was still snoozing on the couch.
And they are off! Each kid was assigned a color to find. It worked out really well. That way everyone got the same amount of eggs so no one was sad about it. Fabulous!
My handsome little man showing me the prizes in his Easter eggs. He thought it was pretty AWESOME!

After all our Easter Egg hunts with our friends we headed out to Grandma Cox's. She had a fun little project for us to do. First you take crescent rolls and tell the kids that this represents a cloth. Then you have a marshmallow which represents Christ. Then you have melted butter which represents the oil rubbed on Christs body after they took him off the cross and you have cinnamon and sugar which represents the spices that they put on him after he passed. So you take the marshmallow and coat it with the melted butter and roll it in the cinnamon and sugar and you place it in the crescent rolls. Then the rolls represent the cloth that they folded Christ in so you fold your marshmallow up in the rolls. After that you place them in the oven for a few minutes and when you pull it out you look inside and the marshmallow has completely disappeared which then you relate that to the resurrection of Christ. Anyways then you have a yummy treat to eat while teaching at the same time! Then it was off for yet another Easter Egg hunt. Here they are all lined up according to age. Although I don't know who that girl is standing between Talia and Kiler.
Small kids always get to have a bit of a head start. Then the rest get to come out one by one and hunt.
Jayden lost interest pretty quick so he and daddy went to teeter totter. It was pretty cute. I love listening to Jaydens giggle it is the cutest little giggle EVER! Cooper soon joined and together and maybe with a little help from Doug they had a great time!
I love this picture. 100% Pure Happiness!
After they lost interest with that they decided to go swing. I'm not sure what exactly Jayden saw that gave him such a terrible look on his face but I bet it was pretty terrifying.
My niece Talia has picked up the guitar and is really pretty good at it. Anyways, here are some cute pictures of her serenading us all. I LOVE LOVE LOVE listening to the guitar. It's right up there with the Violin.
Anyways all in all we had a very successful Easter. Purcell Easter activities will be in the next entry. Wouldn't let me upload them for this one for some reason.
