So before school got out I took Karston and Porter to Lagoon for a fun day! Actually, we were going so that we could do a video for Randy Smith and Mark Marlowe Pediatric Dentistry for a contest that they are doing called "Where's Allie" purpose is to take Allie the Alligator wherever you go during the summer and post the pics on their facebook page. Whoever gets the most likes will win a full expense paid family trip to Lagoon. Pretty Awesome right? Anyways So I took these two to be in the video for me. They did a fantastic job. I will post the video when I do the video segment at some point! Anyways so here is our adventure minus a lot of it because well it was video and not photos! The first ride had to be little rides didn't want to scare them too soon! So we started with BUMPER CARS!!!!!
My poor kids with their sensitive little ears.
These two crashed a lot. It always took them a minute to figure out how to get out of their altercations!
But they had lots of fun. Just look at that sweet smile!
Then we all got cold so since we forgot jackets we headed out to find some sweatshirts. Porter was the only smart one and had a jacket on. Anyways, we found this cool talking tree so we watched and listened to him for a bit. The kids thought it was a pretty amazing "REAL LIVE TREE!" I'm pretty sure they want one at our houses. HAHAHAHA!
Then is was time for the Carousel . Tawnya choose the frog, karston a horse, and Porters day was made when he got to ride on the ROOSTER!
Any toy if guns are involved must be Awesome for little boys right?! I don't know how long they begged to go on this next ride. They were pretty excited when they both got to ride in the SAME one and each have a gun! It's all about the simple things.
Then it was Teapot Time! I really liked the chandelier on this ride. How awesome would this be at my house somewhere maybe in my future gazebo/porch or something. Ya awesome!
We rode a few more rides then decided it was time to go get some much needed lunch so Pioneer Village HERE WE COME!
We of course had to get a picture with the giant tooth at the old dentist office. Let me just say how grateful I am for modern technology. I would probably have refused any dental work being done back in the day. It just looks outright PAINFUL!
After lunch we had time for a few more rides. One of the last rides we did was the train ride around the zoo. I just have to say that that made me very sad. Those poor little animals having to sit in little cages in the heat with no vegitation around them on hot cement pads is just not right. I am not a big animal lover but that should not be allowed.
Our very last ride was the Gondola ride. The boys loved it and thought it was pretty awesome being up so TALL!
On the way out to finish off our adventure we HAD to have some of my favorite DIPPIN DOTS! I LOVE THESE THINGS!
As you can see our adventure was a success. Before we hit the highway the boys were completely zonked out! They were so well behaved and had so much fun I couldn't have asked for a better day. Tawnya on the other hand was a little bit more rough to handle but for the most part she did a pretty good job!
Love my life and I love my family! So glad for the memories made that day!
