Our Celine Dion Adventure

So I went Salt Lake this weekend it was so much fun. We went down on Saturday and went to the Fashion Place Mall. We were very successful we didn't find one thing to buy:( oh well. Then we went and checked into the Plaza and went to JB'S for dinner. On Sunday we slept in and watched the Choir Broadcast, and went to Temple Square. It was so much fun. It felt like Spring. The flowers were starting to bloom and it was pretty warm. We went to the visitor's center and went through this new display they have. It's about the Family Proclamation. It was so cute you start in one room which is a Living Room, then you go to the next room which is a baby's room, the next room is grandma's house, the next one is a kitchen, and the last room is an art studio with paintings of Christ. In each room you watch a short film. It was so much fun and they had some really great tips of how to raise your family in the gospel.

Oh yeah we were so lazy so we decided to order room service from JB'S since it is part of our Hotel. So we order the Sunrise Breakfast which was eggs, bacon, hash brown's, and two pancakes. for $8.75 then on the menu it said milk $1.25 so we ordered a Large Milk. So they bring it up to us and say the total is $17.00. Well it turned out that my large glass of milk was NOT $1.25 BUT a whopping $5.15. How stupid is that. Anyway so I guess with the economy going the way it is they have to make their money somewhere and it apparently is in a glass of milk.

Now the concert! Let me tell you that concert was AMAZING! Celine is awesome she sang all her Big Hits such as The Prayer, Because You Loved Me, etc. It was the most incredible concert EVER! Her outfits were INCREDIBLE, I couldn't believe how fast she changed.The stage moved and did all sorts of neat things. They had this one dancer that was a guy dressed as a girl. It was the funniest thing to see ever. He was very good it was just weird seeing a guy dance in a little tiny baby doll dress with a big bow across the chest. It was funny! The concert went from 8:00 to about 10:45. She looked so pretty and she is a great performer.

So that is all! We had a great time but of course it is always nice to come home!

The Midterm Dilema

So Tawnya for school was doing a movie for her midterm project well it wasn't going so well and so we had to hurry and think of plan B so we decided to write a poem about the importance of the scriptures. I was pretty proud of it so I decided to publish it!

I left his presence quietly then turned back to see
The savior standing mightily as he shed a tear for me
No need to worry my little one for you’ll be back one day
For I have given you many things to guide you on your way.
Peace and strength will be yours as you search, ponder and pray
The Holy Scriptures will be the key
But you must read them every day.
They teach you the things I wish you to know
From the creation
To the Plan of Salvation
They tell of the blood
That Christ shed for us all
as he knelt in Gethsemane
They speak of the things
that help make us stay clean
for we are a temple which surely should beam.
They tell of the love that Christ freely did give
for you and your siblings above.
So turn to the scriptures whenever your tried
and you’ll feel of his endless love.

Not bad for writing it at about 12:30 at night huh!

Oh Doug....

Well sorry for not keeping up so well on my blog. We just don't have that much exciting news. However Doug decided to change that. I got a call yesterday at work to find out that Doug stepped on a nail, which of course went right through his foot. Luckily it didn't do any damage its just really sore. Looks pretty nasty huh!
