Winter Quarters and Kanesville!

Jackie found these really YUMMY pretzels here in Omaha. Karston LOVED them so when she brought some for us he carried them around saying they were "MINE"!
The only temple with ALL stained glass windows! BEAUTIFUL!!!
The Cemetery at Winter Quarters aka Council Bluffs.
Tyson and Karston were buds. Tyson followed him around so we could do our looking! Thanks Tyson your the best!!!
The Memorial!
Some of the headstones that are still readable BARELY.
This statue is so tender and sad, but Beautifully done. It is a mom and dad looking over their child who they just buried. Notice the shovel in hand. I honestly don't know how they did what they had to do.
Headstone that read MOTHER.
The stained glass on the temple, and my tiny eternal family minus 1 :(

I love to look at the details on the temples. It always amazes me the things they come up with to make them so very beautiful, and different.
The Visitors Center at Winter Quarters.
We watched a movie and Jayden was REALLY into it so we had to grab a picture!
Kanesville where President Brigham Young was ordained to be a Prophet!

This wax figure of Brigham Young makes me laugh. His hair really didn't look like that.
The approximate place where he was Ordained.
I don't play the organ, but I did get to play this one. It was so fun. They neatest part is that it is over 250 years old and they let all 3 of us play! Jackie's picture for some reason wouldn't upload, but she played it too!

Karston got a sticker, and thought it was cool to put it right there and walk around with it like this for a long time!
It was lots of fun and very interesting. I didn't get to see a whole lot, because I was out with Jayden most of the time. He was having a hard day poor baby. Maybe one day I will get to go back and enjoy a little more! Thanks again Tyson and Jackie for being our tour guides and for spending the day with us! We sure love you both and miss you OODLES!!!

Fun in Omaha!

So my cute little cousin Jacquelin moved to Omaha so since we were stopping there we met up with her and her hubby and had a GREAT time! She found this fun little park so her and I decided to take Karston and get a little bit of 2 year old energy out! We are so foreign to these kinds of toys we didn't know how half of it worked, but we had soo much fun trying to figure out how they did. We were a little under dressed by Omaha terms, but whatever we were comfy in our jeans and had lots of fun!
Jacquelin and Karston working the scooper! Good job kids keep it up!!!
She is going to be the cutest little mom don't you think! She is having a little peanut soon!!!
Karston was intrigued with the music part of this playground. The blue sides are drums the other side has music notes that hit the bells. Fun fun!
So Jacquelin and I hopped on this little toy and it spins you around and around in a circle and once you figure it out it goes pretty fast. So we decided to try and take pictures of each other. Here is a cute one of her, and well mine just looks old. Oh well it was fun!

So we decided to put Karston and Jacquelin in this cage, and can I just say he did NOT like it in the least. Here it looks all fun and enjoyable, but seconds after this picture was taken Poor little Karston's face looked much like a tomato due to the lack of oxygen reaching his face since he was holding his breath. When it stopped he let out a lovely scream followed by hate and discontent towards me and Jacquelin for even thinking that he might enjoy this ride!
While we played out the park Grammie, Grampie, and Jayder bug stayed at Jacquelin's house to take a much needed nap!
For some reason she really liked holding Jayden!
The next day we decided to go to Omaha Zoo since it was supposed to rain the next few days. All I have to say is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I am not huge on zoos but this one makes Hoogle zoo look like Kate Curly park! So much fun! A must see if you are ever in the area!
My little lion cub! If I let his hair grow out he just might look like one!
Here we are in the rain forest soo fun!
Ohhh monkey's how I love you that is why I have 2! You are all so cute, and fun!!!
Karston watching the singing monkey. (The one pictured above was singing a lovely little ditty!)

Isn't it so cute!
<
Jayden was just dazed and confused the entire time! Aren't my little monkeys so precious!

These things were just weird looking
Karston was so excited he needed to get a closer look at EVERYTHING!

So sweet!
No this in not a rock this world be a Hippo! I had a hard time finding it!
Karston standing in utter amazement watching the water fall!
Jayden really liked the Parrots! They were fun to see!
Cooling off on the water globe!
Okay so this monkey was my ABSOLUTE favorite of all the monkeys. It hung like this forever. It would look at you and snap his fingers begging for food. Don't you just want to hug this little guy!
Then he got tired of begging so then he went got a stick and was using it to get the popcorn out of the rocks. It even separated the rocks from the popcorn. So smart!
<
Then he got bored so plopped down and was blowing his leaf, which apparently is so exciting!
We of course had to ride the Carousel.
And the incredibly long train!
Which was a happy moment for everyone!
Karston trying to be patient and wait for his train ride to begin. It was so hard to wait for a few minutes!

Jayden and I enjoying the ride!
Look at that BEAUTIFUL smile how can you not love this baby!
<
Viewer discression is advised. This is Yogi (not really, but that is what I am going to call him) He was funny to watch. He would look at us scratch his back on the rocks while scratching his tummy. True man that all I can say!

Awww the Gorillas. So much fun to watch. If you stare at them they get mad and come smack the glass. Kind of scary, but really funny! The all had an article of clothing, and they actually try to put them on! This one is carrying around a pair of pants.

This one has a shirt on!
Hahahaha this is the baby. I got him smiling! He was getting mad that the pants wouldn't come through his hole in his bucket. Gosh they are so cute!
My baby seeing where his hand fits!
This guy was the one that would come smack the window if you would stare at him. So naturally we stared at him!

This one apparently was getting ready for a work out so he had to do some stretches! Or he was posing for me to take his picture. Whatever it was he was funny!

Lots of walking, lots of pushing! I wish I were one of these 2 munchkins!
Sadly the Aquarium was closed while we were there so we got a little munchie and Karston played on the turtles. He was pretty adimate that these turtles were his. He told any other kid that tried to play on them that they were "MINE urtles" and scootched himself where the other kid at the time was sitting. Naughty baby! Well one girl REALLY wanted her picture taken so Karston approached her to give her the spiel that these were his, and she sat up and said " This is MY picture not yours." And shoved Karston out of her picture. Her mom then said Well I am glad that I captured your rude moment on camera. She apparently got a picture of her pushing Karston out of the way. It was funny!
Karston marking his territory on the turtle!

Teeny tiny hummingbird!
Bunny!
The bald eagle! Oops I mean Jayden!!!
Fox
I have to get EVERY finger in!
The desert dome!

Okay so grammie was walking around and saw the sign that said Porcupines so she came up to the exibit and saw these 2 creatures laying out. She couldn't figure out where the needles were, and she didn't know that that was what they looked like. I told her it would be hard to find them, because those aren't porcupines. The ones that were hiding in the log are porcupines! So funny!
Bats
Eel
The cave!
Sid the Sloth! So cute huh!!! He must of just seen a bat he looks a little terrified!
The swamp!
I thought this guy was gonna get me. I don't like them!
Look how funny the stand/float!
Long day! Ready to go home!
Don't you dare take my bink!
Sleepy time! Zoo was a success!!!!!
Well 1 out of 2 success!
So there was our first 2 days in Omaha. Thanks Jacquelin for going with us. It was so much fun seeing you and your cute home. We shall be back when the Aquarium is open!!!!!
