Cooking with Daddy!

Oh I just can't stand the sweetness of this picture. I love Sundays because that is treat day at our house. Doug makes his special treats on Sundays and he lets the kids cook with him. They sing songs and just have a grand old time. Makes this mommas heart soar with happiness! Love watching my little family interact with each other! Special memories for me!!!

Jayden gets the stitch!

I guess this is the year for stitches at our household! This one though absolutley amazed me. I still can't figure out how he did this but he did. He was sitting with me on the toilet while I was putting his jammies on (No I wasn't going potty. I was washing my face when he brought in his jammies) ANYWHO... He was sitting on my lap and we got his little footie jammies on when he jumps down. I guess when he jumped down he made the decision to try out professional Ice skating moves because the next thing I know is him twirrling around and the BAM he hit his head on what I thought was just the cabinet door. That was until I looked at the kid. He actually somehow miraculously hit the HINGE of the cabinet door which went through his head. The hinge is kind of tucked in so how his head ended up hitting that is what I still don't get. It wasn't gushing blood as you can tell by the first picture but it looked pretty deep so we decided to call Grandma Purcell and have her come take a look. We decided to go have it checked. Poor baby Jay had to get 2 stitches. I was really glad it was only two. I hate having to hold down my kids. Poor Doug can't go to things like this. He passes out at the sight of a paper cut so we decided he should just stay home and his mom and I would take care of it.

Looks worse AFTER the stitches don't you think? Poor little baby. He still is the most handsome little man in the whole wide world though!

Love you sweet baby. Your such a brave boy. Thanks Grandma Purcell for coming with us. Your a great grandma and we love you so much!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

What can we say about our awesome daddy accept for the fact that he is totally AWESOME! He works so hard for his family. He always makes sure that we are taken care of. He is incredibly patient which is exactly what momma needs. He can talk to these boys in a way that just clicks with them and sometimes it blows me off of my feet. He brings a calming presence into our home. He loves to spend time with his boys especially when it involves feeding animals or working on the tractor or farm. He never yells at mom or the kids for that matter. He is a great cook. He does funny voices. We like to all sing together and have lots of fun. He likes to be a Super Trucker. He gets really happy when he gets to pull the trailer. He likes to be busy and has a hard time sitting still but most importantly HE LOVES US and HE LOVES THE GOSPEL. He teaches us more and more every day. Happy Fathers day dad! Your the best dad for us!!!

Sunday Walk with Grandpa Cox!

Every once in awhile we take a little Sunday walk down to the School by Grandma Cox's house. The kids love being pulled by Grandpa in the wagon.
Here's Coopy... Don't know if he is trying to smile or make a doody this picture could go either way!
We always love it whenever daddy gets to come play too. Jayden loves to swing if only he could pump. One day my dear boy you will figure it out! For now we will enjoy pushing you!

Oh Karston boy! He at the age of 5 has figured out the pumping. He loves swinging and I am so proud of all his accomplishments this year! He is growing so fast that this momma wouldn't mind if he slowed down just a tiny bit! Love him and that smile!
Ohh then there is Rooster! She is a quiet little thing so I don't really know why I call her rooster. Guess it just kind of came out one day and stuck. Love this sweet girl and I am so glad she is my niece!
Next we have Fritter. Little tiny fritter. How I do love this kid. His personality makes up for his size in more ways than one. He is a pretty clever feller with his conversations and comments. He can be either very dramatic or very happy. Love this sweet smiling face!
All the crazy cousins minus Talia. I don't really know where she was maybe she just didn't want to come who knows! Hahaha I didn't notice that Karston and Bryton are holding hands until now. To cute!

Poor Doug.... No one will push him in the swing. What a tough life he has.

Kiler. I don't even know where to begin with this boy. He is a good kid. Great at sports and is a good example to his small cousins and siblings. Sure glad he is a part of our family!

I'm doing it dad.... Please don't let go or else it could be catastrophic!
Cooper spent most of his time doing this. Apparently since he is named after a dog (Aunt Crystals Dog is named Cooper) he feels like he should live up to the name.

Doug kept trying to blow away in the wind. Don't let the trees in the background fool you. It was terribly windy that day!

Sadly all good adventures must come to an end at some point. Oh well we have lots of fun memories to last us until the next park adventure!

Oh my we can't forget Tawnya. She was pretty upset when she found out we went to the park without her. Sorry sister. We still love you though.
Thankfully she made a quick recovery and changed her face so it didn't freeze like that! Love my baby sister!
It's always a great day whenever your making memories with family. No matter what you do. Life is to short to not have fun with those whom you love blood or adopted!
