MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

This Christmas was WONDERFUL!!! We had lots of fun at all the parties we went to, but most importantly we had Karston here to make it so fun and special! I don't think he actually understood what or why he was getting presents on this particular day, but he sure had fun opening and then trying to figure out how everything worked. These pics are all out of order and I just don't feel like fighting my computer to put them in the correct order! SORRY!!!

One more apology.... We went to my in-laws, but being the HORRIBLE parents we are we forgot to take pictures of that event. We had a great time. Karston got some AWESOME presents and I will take pictures and post them soon. We had a wonderful dinner made by Grandma and just had tons of fun being together. Terry got a fun clay pigeon game and it was funny watching all the boys trying to outdo each other shooting the targets. We had lots of fun and love you guys tons THANK YOU THANK YOU for everything!

Grammie and Grampie Mullen gave Karston this AWESOME tool set! It was so funny watching Doug put this together you had to use the toy tools in order to set it up! Karston also helped! He LOVES it! Thanks Gramie and Grampie!

We got him this Rocking Chair. In case you can't tell it has his name across the top and then below that it has a juke box with music notes coming out. We figured since he loves to dance and he loves music so much that would be fitting. We thought it turned out way cute. Now we just have to stain it!
We also gave him this cute little four-wheeler! Now I don't know if that was such a great idea. He uses it, but mostly for this purpose! In fact it was funny... the other day he was standing like this except his foot stepped on the button and made it go. Luckily he was hanging on to the sink so he didn't get hurt, but for some reason he doesn't stand on the handle bars anymore. Wonder how long that will last!

Grandma and Grandpa Dann and Jeanine gave him this cool 1938 Fire engine peddle car. He was soooooo excited for this little hummer to get put together. It is absolutly darling. It has a hose, ladders, and a bell on the front. So cute! Thanks you all. We love you and I think we all witnessed how much Karston loves his new ride!!!
Grandma and Grandpa Cox were so kind! They win the prize for the most ANNOYING toy, but a very LOVED toy as well. It really is a darling horse, but Karston has figured out where the buttons are that make it Ney and Ney some more, then clip clop, and wag its tail. Karston really loves it but more than anything he just loves to stand in front of it and push the ears and make it go. I have looked, but I can't tell where the batteries are kept.... I hope it isn't one of those toys that will never die. Oh well I guess.... It makes Karston happy and that is all that matters right? :P RIGHT!!!

So every year on the Cox side they do a Christmas exchange. We all draw names and then you get a gift for that person. Well Doug has done something with his face every year so far. Well my cousin Jacquelin got his name this year and I thought her idea was rather creative. He got a plaid shirt and then she went through some old pictures and made a lovely collage on it. Then at the bottom it reads " GOT FAMILY?" Doug gave her a shirt a few years ago with his picture on it and his said at the bottom "GOT DOUG?" Anyways here is her BEAUTIFUL work! Thanks Jacquelin HE LOVES IT!!!

Karston opening his elephant!

Sooo Helpful!

Sooo one of Karston's new things is that he LOVES tools! Whenever he finds a tool or dad is working on something Karston is right there helping! This particular moment he was helping Doug put safety locks on all our cupboards and drawers. Now I bet he wishes he didn't help with that project!

YIKES!!!

So I went to Utah this week and ate LOTS of delicious food. So I got on the scales to see what my damage is since I go to the Doctor on Monday morning. Well folks all I can say is that I am PRETTY DAMAGED! I have decided that A. Either Karston has been playing with my scales again. B. I am having GIANT triplets or C. This is gonna be 1 HUMONGOUS baby! I apparently now weigh 911 pounds. Hummm I think I am gonna have my work cut out for me after this pregnancy!!!

Karston's Girl and Dance!

Here are just a few pics we took of Karston and Nina playing together! They were pretty cute! Karston also was in a little dance recital the other night. I know most people think I am weird for putting him in a dance class, but this baby LOVES to dance. Usually if he hears music he takes of shaking that cute little booty of his and creates all sorts of new moves... Plus I think it is good mostly because he gets to interact with other kiddos his age and gets some exercise in the process as well! He however did not dance on stage. He never saw his shirt before so it was a little shock when the lights went on and hit all his sequence on his shirt so he kept looking at the lights and then back at his shirt then back at the lights. But on the bright side he didn't cry and run off. He was crying when he went up there so I was at least thankful for that! He did a good job looking cute, so what more could a mom ask for right!!! Sad he didn't do his thing but still a proud momma!

After dancing Grandma, dad and Karston went and got some food while I stayed to watch the rest of my nieces and nephews dance. They all did a beautiful job!!!

He also now likes to sing. So he finds these candle sticks and sings beautiful
songs!!! Just wish I knew what the words were!!!

DATE NIGHT! This is lovers log! They did all their smooching
on this log!

I think Santa and his elves were bored!!!!
I love you Honey!
Karston making his move!!!
The happy couple!!!
I promise we weren't doing ANYTHING!!!
I almost forgot to tell about the best part. Well Karston was giving Nina kisses back to back on the "Lover's Log" I think after about 10 or so kisses Nina got tired of smooching so Karston went in for another kiss and Nina looked at him like she was going to kiss him and whack the next thing we see is Karston flying off the log and Nina laughing as well as myself and Erin. It was HILARIOUS! Sad but funny! Sad because I think she kind of hurt Karston's little ego. It didn't take long though before they were smooching and holding hands again. But that sight was priceless and I am glad I got it on video. Man I need to figure out how to put video's on here. I have OODLES of good ones with Karston!!!

What are you doing to me mom?

So Karston has a CUTE little girlfriend named Nina Amalia Nazario. They are 3 days apart and absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE each other. They actually are more entertaining to watch than T.V. So we decided to take these two love birds and go and see how they respond to Santa. All I can say is that is was HILARIOUS! LOOK for yourself below!!!!

With mom's OK Santa's not that bad!
Without Mom's FORGET IT this man is TERRIFYING!

Don't you like the color of socks dad put on Karston! Oh boys how do they dress themselves all matchy. but can't seem to match kids outfits! Gotta love it! Doug you make me smile!!!! I have some videos to post of these two. Karston LOVES to smooch on Nina, but I haven't figured out how to download the video from my camera yet! So if you know how PLEASE LEAVE ME A COMMENT!!!

Happy SNOW everyone!!! Unlike most people that live in Idaho I long for the snow! I love it!!!!
So I have had oodles and oodles of kids the past few days so Thursday it was just me and my little man so I decided I needed to spend a little one on one time with him so we went and played in the snow! It was actually warmer with no wind so I figured perfect day to go build a Snowman! Karston was soo funny. He walked like that kid on Christmas Story and eventually he just fell over. He didn't cry or anything so I just let him lay there and try to figure out what this cold white stuff was. He learned that you can make snowballs out of it, you can make angels in it, that you can fall in it and usually it doesn't hurt, and he learned that mom will NOT let him eat the yellow or brown spots!!! We got some cute pictures and had lots of fun making our cute snowmen. We tackled each other and I think that was his very favorite part of all. So here are some pics of Karston's first snow adventure! I can't wait to take him sledding! WAHOOOO!!!!

The sticks actually were stuck together so we
are holding hands which is usual!!!
Me tackling him. Had to get some sort of picture to prove
I was there right! Mom's are never in the pics!!!

Karston with HIS very own snowman!!!
Helping mom build the bottom of her snowman!
Don't you just want to kiss that little face ALL OVER!
SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!
I love you MONKEY MAN!!!
Our work here is DONE!!!
YOU MAKE YOUR MOMMA SO HAPPY!
Sooo tired and oh so sweet!

THIS DAY WAS PRICELESS!!!!

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!

Well okay I guess we all know that I am not very good at posting every day huh! Actually, this is the best I have done in keeping my "Journal" I suppose you could say that I have ever done. So I am ending my "Grateful" posts today with this little tid bit!

Today was a great day WELL kind of! It was wonderful because I was with people whom I love dearly and that we had LOTS and LOTS of yummy food! It was crappy because first of all I was incredibly tired ALL day, second of all I didn't feel very well, third of all I was making my YUMMY cream corn and a HUGE bubble jumped out of the pan and my hand was burned with scalding hot milk, corn and stuff... Needless to say I said a naughty word and yes I cried. Luckily I have on hand some AWESOME burn gel which after 30 minutes works... THAT was a LONG 30 minutes but happy to report only a little red mark on my wrist is left, no blisters or anything! And Lastly my taste buds must be very weird with this pregnancy because most of my DELICIOUS food which smelled so VERY wonderful tasted like... I don't really know how to describe the taste I guess it didn't really have a taste to me which I know it really does have a good taste it just wasn't that strong of a taste. I don't know but I do know that it made me REALLY sad, because I love turkey dinner!

Other than those little minor details today was simply wonderful! I look forward to family activities and it is ALWAYS wonderful when you get to add some yummy food in the mix. I just hope that by the time Christmas comes I will have my OLD taste buds back!!! Now I am going to end my day with a lovely freezing jaunt out to Wal-Mart at Mid night to hopefully get this toy we are wanting for Mr. Karston. This is SOO NOT gonna be fun but it is worth saving $50 bucks over!!!

I hope you all had a great day and I hope lots of fun memories were created. I am so very grateful for my family, my WONDERFUL friends, the gospel, and most importantly my Heavenly Father. He has given me so very much and I truly am incredibly blessed. I am healthy, I am able to hold, play, swim, run, draw, sing, play the piano with, and love my baby. I am told that I am loved every day by my WONDERFUL hubby. I am talented in different things, and not so smart in others which is good so that I have some room to grow. I have a true love for my Heavenly Father and know that he will provide safety and comfort and he will ALWAYS do what is best for my family even though I know there will be trial that WILL try that. I am in no means "PERFECT" in any way shape or form, but I do strive to BECOME better. I know that I have made MAJOR mistakes and have hurt someones feelings which I am ashamed to admit, but grateful for the fact that I can always do better tomorrow. I have a great life full of happiness. Thanks to you all who have loved me, helped me, and teach me to become and to BE better than what I am today!

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

1 more day until TURKEY DAY!!!!!

Slacker I know!

I am grateful for SNOW BLOWERS. What a beautiful invention it is especially when there is waist high snow drifts blocking your car!

I am grateful for those sticker things you put on your windows! I bought some for Mr. Karston the other day and he and I had SOOO much fun putting them all over his doors to his bedroom! He thought they were AWESOME!

I am grateful for people that are talented in creating and making yummy recipes! I have been trying a few new recipes and so far have liked them all. The best part is that Mr. Karston has loved them all too! He isn't a picky eater by any means but it is always nice to have a variety of foods to choose from rather than just the same ol same ol!

I am grateful for grocery stores. I love the fact that I really don't have to worry about finding some food for my family! Granted I also know that there may be a time when I can't run to the stores so I also am preparing in case I can't just get in my car and run to the store.

I know this is a repeat but I am going to say this anyway. I truly am grateful for my family and for the fact that I live so very close to them all! I could not imagine being away from them and seeing or knowing how much Karston would be missing out on if we were in a different state. There is something special about watching him interact with his grandma's and grandpa's, cousins, aunts and uncles. I also don't know what I do if I just couldn't call someone up if I was in need and know that they would be there in just a few minutes! I love them all lots and hope they all know how grateful I am that they are all a part of my life as well as my kids. They love us and there isn't a day that goes by that we aren't reminded of this!

One more for the road... I am also very grateful for this one! I am sooooooooo grateful that I finally heard Baby # 2's heartbeat on Monday. There is just something that is comforting when you hear that strong little heart beating inside you. We can't wait for this little bundle of joy to join our family in June. Hopefully come January we will be able to find out what our new kiddo will be and hopefully it will not be shy. Karston DEFINANTLY wasn't he was very proud to let us know he was a boy so we are hoping this one will follow in it's brothers footsteps!

AHHH Sunday!

1. I love Sunday! Mostly because it is my one and only day to see Doug all day! Actually it is more fun for Karston I think. They tackle, and play, and dance it is great! So I am grateful for Sunday for that reason mostly but other good reasons too!

2. I am grateful for Sunday naps! Nothing better than coming home from church and putting on snugly Jami's and curling up with a blanket and taking a nice afternoon nap!

3. I am grateful for the opportunity I have of being able to watch Karston figure out how things work. I love the fact that he takes after his daddy and does not quit until he has figured out how to make something work!

4. I am grateful for K-mart! Okay mother's of boys... Don't you find it annoying that almost ALL stores apparently don't think that little boys need clothes or shoes or anything for that matter. I think I went to 5 stores yesterday before K-mart trying to find some snow boots for Karston. NOTHING that was until I went to K-mart walk in and they have equal amounts of boy stuff as they do girl stuff! I called Doug in utter frustration telling him that I was going to open a store that is ALL boy stuff NO girl stuff and I might throw in some ACTUALLY cute Maternity clothes. Yup I am sure I would be rich! Okay probably not it is small little Idaho Falls after all, but still I think it is somewhat of a good idea!

5. I am grateful for Nursery. The first day I took Karston I must admit that I cried. I think some of it was due to the ol prego hormones, and the other is simply the fact that I felt so empty without my little man in my arms, but I love the fact that I can actually enjoy a Relief Society lesson! They are wonderful to him and he loves it even though it takes a little while to get used to it he eventually warms up and loves it!

Wahoo I DID IT!!!

Okay so about 4.5 years ago I begged and begged and begged my wonderful hubby for a sewing machine. Being the fabulous man he is he got me one, and well as you probably guessed 4.5 years later I finally used it!!!! Doug was so very proud!

1. I am grateful for the fact that I have a sewing machine! It actually was a TON of fun using it. It is a VERY smart machine.

2. I am grateful for instructions. Yep that is the only way I got through trying to figure out this new contraption!

3. I am grateful for HEAT.. The stuff that you put in your car so it doesn't freeze! Yeah my car wouldn't start tonight so we put that in and wallah the Golden Goose was up and running yet again!

4. I am grateful for window scrapers! I love winter, BUT I HATE frost, ice, and egads of snow piled on my car so needless to say the window scraper is the best invention EVER!

5. I am grateful for hair styling products! It is nice to know that the scary person that looks back at me when I get up in the morning will be fixed and looking somewhat normal again before I go out to face the world!

Oh signs and movies how I LOVE THEE!

1. I am grateful for the Stork Parking at the mall! As you know it is getting closer to the ol holidays and so needless to say the mall really is not a place you want to go unless you want to walk 5 miles just to get to the door. Well this little sign is FABULOUS! I found a parking spot right in front of the door! So little Stork Parking sign I love you!!!

2. I am grateful for Baby Einstein movies!!! Yes they are a stay-at-home mom's VERY best friend ESPECIALLY when your monkey has totally been acting like a monkey ALL DAY LONG! So my options were either selling my kid or Baby Einstein. I opted for Baby Einstein. As hard as it is some days I would NEVER not want to have my kiddo around! I do love my little Banana Man!

3. I am grateful for Disposable Diapers! I am sorry, but man when your kid starts to poop the big OL man poops nothing better than just getting that smell out of my house in less than a minute!!! Trust me it does a BEAUTIFUL job of stinking up a room in less than 2 seconds in and of itself!

4. I am grateful for Sounds Choir! It is a great choir and it has given me LOTS of neat experiences that I might not otherwise have had. It is full of WONDERFUL people and I am thankful to be a part of it!

5. I am grateful for creative people! Especially when it comes to crafts! I love crafts and I love doing crafts. So I am glad there are people out there who can figure out how to make all these cute little craft ideas so I can either buy it or create it myself if it doesn't involve sewing or cutting out wood!

Grateful today is DONE!!!

So I missed last night! Doug had a BIG interview so when he was done he wanted Chinese for dinner so we went out to eat, did a little Christmas shopping and then came home and sadly I CRASHED hard! So anyway I am grateful for Doug's sake that today is over! I remember how nervous I was when I interviewed and my interviews were NOTHING like the one he had today. I think I was more a nervous wreck than he was. Probably because I know how BADLY he wants this job, and because I love him and want him to be oh so happy I was nervous for him. He totally rocked it though and I am so proud of him! We won't find out for 2 weeks if it is a go or a no go so KEEP YOUR FINGERS TOES AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU CAN CROSS CROSSED FOR HIM!!!!

1. I am grateful for sales! I found some great presents for FABULOUS prices! So nice not having to always pay full price for toys and clothes and stuff for wee people only to have it ruined within 10 minutes!

2. I am grateful for pictures! I LOVE LOVE LOVE pictures! I love looking at them and wondering, hearing or remembering the stories behind them. I am also grateful for Picture DVD'S make it much easier to store all of my millions of pictures!

3. I am grateful for waterproof, fireproof safes! Not that I have had a fire or anything, But I love the fact that I can put my kids babies books, and picture CD's in them and know that they are in safe keeping!

4. I am grateful for the blessings that come from paying your tithing! Before I had Karston Doug and I both felt strongly that I needed to stay at home. The hard thing was that I was making pretty good money. So we prayed about it and knew that even though it would be tight if we paid our tithing we would be taken care of and we truly have. We always have more than enough and then some!

5. I am grateful for my scriptures! I am not always the best at reading them daily, but when I do my days, week, and month goes by some much better! I love that if I am ever in need I can find my answer in my scriptures!

SUCH A GREAT DAY!

Today was so awesome! Not that anything OVERLY ecstatic happened just the fact that it felt as though someone had FINALLY plugged me in and I was back to feeling GOOD, and happy, and I finally had energy and that made my day TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

1. So if you couldn't guess I am thankful for energy. I have been so depressed lately due to the fact I have had no energy and was really getting irritated that I had to force myself to get off the couch and pick up a room or two and throw my kid and myself for that matter in the tub. I have a hard time when I don't feel like I am accomplishing ANYTHING! So today was wonderful I had my house clean, both Karston and I were ready, I had laundry going, dishes going, and dinner made all before 11:00. Then I made cookies for my sister-in-law Beckie for her B-day and then we had enough left so we took them to this sweet lady at the rest home. Then went and saw Beckie and took her the MOST annoying balloon EVER! It was great! The best thing is is that it is now 7:10 p.m. and I STILL have energy! Wahooooooooo!!!

2. I am grateful for the examples my nieces and nephews and Karston set for me. Today when I had my little niece Hannah (as mentioned above) we took cookies to Katherine. Hannah has never met her, but she was sooo kind. She sang to her gave her a hug, told her stories, and just plain acted as if she had known her forever. How blessed I am to have such sweet kiddos as my examples!!!

3. I am grateful for the priesthood. My father-in-law came over tonight and gave Doug the most touching blessing in regards to his BIG interview tomorrow. I love the fact that I know I have access to the priesthood and that my family will be benefited because of it! Thank you Terry we love and appreciate all that you do for us DAILY!!!

4. I am grateful for clothes! I would hate having to be naked in this kind of weather!!! BURRRR!

5. I am grateful to know people that actually like to cook and that can come up with great concoctions. My sister-in-law Jodi brought me lunch today and it was YUMMY! She is a great cook anyway, but she is one that is NOT afraid to try new recipes as I am. So she cooks it she tells me about it, and then USUALLY if she gives me the recipe I make it! Thanks again Jodi I will trade food for babysitting ANYTIME!!!

So there you go! Today was the best day I have had in a while and I hope that tomorrow is just as great if not better! Love to ya all! Have a great day!

Monday, November 15, 2010

I am bad I know!

OK so I know I have been really bad posting things that I am grateful for and I blame this all on my sister-in-law Jodi! She has been gone and because of it I have been gone also from the blogging world! Just kidding really I am just a big slacker and have fallen asleep before I get to my computer!

So I will just start again today!

1. Today I am grateful for dehydrator's. Doug has been dehydrating fruit and boy has it been yummy the kid and have been loving it!

2. I am grateful for Crock Pot's! I hate cooking well actually I don't mind cooking if either something really sounds good to me or someone just tells me what to make! I love it when I have a recipe that I can just throw it in the crock pot and botabing I am dinner worry free the rest of my day!!!

3. I am grateful for Snow! I love watching snow fall. I don't like the freezing temperatures, and I don't like ice on the roads but I REALLY love watching snow fall! It just makes me feel so happy and Christmasy inside!

4. I am grateful for my piano! Ever since I can remember if I was having a bad moment or just needed a stress reliever all I have to do is go and play a little ditty on my beautiful upright piano! I am so very grateful for those who helped me out by storing my piano when I didn't have a place for it. It means A LOT to me and I love the fact that I still have it in my possession! THANK YOU!!!

5. I am grateful for movies! I love watching movies. Last night we watched Toy Story 3 and it was so cute. I love watching Disney films, and any other movie that makes me laugh or cry. Weird that I like the ones that make you cry huh but I love movies that remind me just how lucky I am!

Okay so there you have it my thankful list for today!!!!!!

Saturday, November 13, 2010

Late ooops!

Sorry I fell asleep last night before I did my thankful post so you will get 2 today!!!

1. I am grateful for cheap entertainment! Doug and I are horrible. We have found that if Karston is watching T.V. and we pause it he quickly jumps to his feet and yells NO NO and goes over to our volume box trying to fix the problem. We push play before he gets there and then he acts all proud like he just fixed this big problem. So we let him get back to his seated position and.... well we start all over again. Poor little Karston. It is just so funny we can't help it!

2. I am grateful that EVERY time I get my little man out of the tub and wrap him in his snuggly towel he ALWAYS acts like he is just a little teeny tiny newborn curls up and snuggles right in my neck! I LOVE IT!!!

3. I am grateful for a washing machine and dryer! I love clean clothes and I love having these luxuries so that I can be clean, and smell clean!

4. I am grateful for the country I live in! I didn't mean to not say anything about Veteran's Day I (am VERY sad to admit) when I was doing my post I spaced the fact that it was indeed Veteran's Day. I truly am grateful for the country which I live in and for the freedom's I am able to enjoy because of the WONDERFUL men and women who sacrifice their families to make sure I don't have to sacrifice my freedoms. How very honorable they are and how very grateful I am for such brave men and women. I could NEVER do that and I am thankful for those that can and DO!

5. I am grateful for missionary work and for the fact that my husband is a returned missionary. He strengthens me by the knowledge he has of the scriptures and the gospel due to the fact that he studied nothing else, but the gospel for 2 years. I don't know if I will be able to hold myself together when it is time for my little man to go, but I do know that it is the Lord's work and that he will take care and protect my son. Or at least he better otherwise he and I... Well we might have some words when I get up there! (Just kidding)

I am Loved and I am GRATEFUL for that!

Ohh today! What a BEAUTIFUL day it was! Cold.... but still BEAUTIFUL!

1. I am grateful that I don't know what it feels like to not be loved. I am so very grateful that I have had so many wonderful people in my life and that no matter what dumb thing I did they have ALWAYS loved me. There is no GREATER blessing I believe than to know that you are loved. So thank you to all of you who have in one way or another made me feel special, beautiful, and among all things LOVED!

2. I am grateful that my arms are not empty. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like not to have my sweet little Karston to go pick up love on and smooch on EVERY single day! I know he hates it but I honestly don't care, mostly because I am his momma and I have to take advantage of it while he is still young enough to let me!

3. I am grateful for Primary songs! I could listen to them all day especially when sung by a small child!

4. I am grateful for teachers! Weird huh where I don't have any kids in school. I do have a great love for the great amount of time and effort that MOST teachers put in to make sure that their students learn what they need to. I know most kids don't believe that they want them to succeed when in all reality MOST teachers truly do care and want nothing more than to see all their students succeed! Those are the teachers I am grateful for!

5. Lastly, I am VERY VERY VERY Grateful for the nice luxury I have of having a heated mattress cover! I hate getting into a cold bed so I love the fact that I have one of those mattress covers that I can turn my side up as HIGH as I want to and Doug can freeze on his side! Sooo very wonderful!

To Dance or Not to Dance that is the QUESTION!!!!!

1. So today I went and took Karston to this little dance class thing for toddlers. I figure he loves to dance so why not encourage it and let him mingle with other kids his age and have fun for 30 minutes. It was the CUTEST thing EVER! He loved every minute. He wagged his little tooshy jumped up and down and just smiled the ENTIRE time. Needless to say Mom signed him up. He actually even gets to do a small performance in a little costume. I am excited. I do have to say though that I am Grateful there are people out there who even though there is a room full of parents watching them through the window can act foolishly to try and get these tiny humans to do what they do.
2. I am grateful for nice people. Had a little moment tonight where this just made me more grateful to be the kind of person that I am. I would hate myself forever if I ever made someone feel less equal as another. I would hate it if I was someone who didn't fellowship a new person who has just moved in to the neighborhood or whatever. I would NEVER want to be the person who ignored and missed the opportunity to be able to get to know someone who really is not that bad of a person after all. So thank you to all the nice people out there wherever you are! Your kindness does NOT go unnoticed!
3. I am grateful for a husband who knows how important it is to me to be a stay at home mom and works very hard so that I can have that opportunity! Even though some things are a little more challenging it is more worth it to me to be there for my kids than to have earthly things!
4. I am grateful for cell phones. It makes me feel so much safer to know that if I am ever in trouble I can call Doug or whomever I need to to get some help!
5. I am grateful for the gift of simpleness. I like things that are simple. I hate it when really something can be so simple but it is turned into something SOOO complicated that it just makes you not want to even attempt it!
Wahooo made it another day! Have a great night, afternoon, morning, or whatever it may be your time!

Tuesday, November 9, 2010

1. I am grateful for moments like these! I love all the funny little expressions, dances, and sayings that Karston says. Just recently he has picked up NANANANANANAS (Banana's), No no Ryan (That is his cousin, but I don't know why he walks around saying that because Ryan hasn't been here), or when he drops something on the ground he starts yelling at it NO NO NO while he shakes his little head and finger at it.

2. I am grateful for nieces and nephews. Hannah came over and played with Tippy today. It was so funny listening to them play. Then we made sugar cookies and I forgot that I had no cookie cutters so we ended up using some different shape blocks from Karston's toys washed them and botabing we got cookie cutters! They had fun that is all that matters right!

3. I am grateful for the fact that Karston's best buddy is his dad. I love how he gasps every time he hears the back door open and runs to greet his dad with a hii dad! I just wish he would do it for me oh well!

4. I am grateful for the ability to talk. I would have a hard time if I couldn't call someone, ask someone for help or a question. Such a great blessing!

5. I am grateful for a warm home! I HATE being cold so I LOVE the fact that I don't have to worry about where I am going to stay every night especially in the winter months or wonder how I am going to heat my home! So glad I have what I have!

Doing this is great fun, but I have to be honest SOME days it is kind of hard to think of 5 things. Especially when I am stuck home ALLL day! Oh well that is when I guess you should really think and find out what you are really thankful for right! Have a great day everyone! Thanks for reading!

Snow to be thankful or not.... I guess it's not that bad!!!

1. I am grateful for computers (when they are used the right way) I love that I can do my never ending homework on them and not have to go to a classroom. I love that I can stay connected with my friends and I love the fact that I can type in a medical term and find the answer I am looking for in only a few minutes rather than hours and hours!

2. I am grateful for energy. Today I definantely had NONE! Probably due to the yucky, snowy blizzard we were having. I miss it when it is gone and LOVE it when I have it!!! My day just goes much smoother and happier!

3. I am grateful for the snow! Mostly because it is important for crops and water supply in the summer months! Plus I LOVE to play and build snowmen!

4. I am grateful for the fact that my child can dance, run, and play. I am glad he has that ability and can enjoy every second of his life! He is the very best dancer I have ever seen and he has a WONDERFUL imagination.

5. I am grateful for my home. It is a place where memories are created, love is felt, giggles are heard, dancing is constant and a safe haven is constant!

Day #6

1. I am grateful for WATER! Not necessarily to drink, but to cook with, swim in, to relax in, and just plain KEEP clean!
2. I am SUPER grateful to have such great in-laws! Especially when we can get together to can 93 quarts of applesauce and have so much fun together! I truly am grateful to be a part of their family!
3. I am grateful for the freedoms that I have. It is one of the greatest gifts you could ever possess!
4. I am grateful for the feeling of being prepared. Knowing that my family will be taken care of is the greatest feeling a parent could have. We always worry, but we know if we try and at least make an effort to prepare our families we need not worry!
5. I am grateful for music. Music is so powerful. It not only can lift us when we are down, it provides comfort, advice, and it is just plain fun to dance and sing and act completely crazy with your kids and hubby!

Have a great day!!! Love to all who read this!!!

Day #5

1. I am grateful for the blessing I have of being able to see! I love watching my baby take a nap and look so peaceful. Such a beautiful sight as well as being able to see everything else around me that this world has to offer!
2. I am grateful for modern day medicine! Gotta love that Zofran especially right now!!! :)
3. I am grateful that I was able to clean my entire house! It feels SOOOO wonderful!
4. I am grateful for the scriptures. Reading them makes me day go better and the spirit in my home is much more pleasant!
5. I am grateful for the priesthood and its powers. I am especially grateful that my husband holds and honors his priesthood and that I can always ask for a blessing and my concerns whatever they may be at the time will be answered. Not always right away, but soon enough!
It is funny how doing something as simple as this makes your day seem so much more pleasant! It has been a beautiful day! We went and saw this sweet little lady at a nursing home today Karston was soooo thoughtful and he went and visited lots of people and said hi. Watching him or rather trying to catch him I was noticing really how Christlike tiny humans act. Sometimes they are shy and other times they without even thinking make someones day so very bright. Karston had no problem loving the strangers in that care facility today. He just warms my heart and I am grateful to be his mom! Every second of every day I love him more and more! My life would be incomplete without him!

3. I am grateful Doug has made it to the second portion of a job he is pretty excited about! Now on to stage 2!!!
4. I grateful for cleaning stuff and for the fact that I can clean my own house! Nothing feels better to me than a clean, organized house not that mine is EVEN a smidge close Because it definitely is not, but if it ever gets there again it would be very nice!!!

Day #3

It is so interesting to me that once you start focusing on something how much more evident it becomes. So since I have been trying to think of things that I am grateful for things were just jumping at me left and right! So for today these are the 5 things that I am most grateful for!

1. Jelly Bellies! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this candy! If you know me you know that I really don't have that great and wonderful Sweet tooth. A curse I know, but one thing I will NEVER EVER EVER turn down is a Delicious bag of Jelly Bellies! HEAVEN!!!!

2. I am grateful for my messy house! Weird I know but it is messy because people that I love live here, and that makes me happy because since they are physically here means they are not spiritually here!!!

3. I am grateful for the sweet sense of humor Karston has, and our in depth conversations we get into. Me: Karston you are so cute. Karston: Yah..... jfkdaslfdhakja;ghaipgfakhf. Me: Really? Karston: Yah! followed by pure innocent laughing. For all I know I could be agreeing to giving him a $500 a day allowance and he laughs because he knows I have no idea what just came out of his mouth.

4. I am grateful that I can pick my own baby up and put him in the car seat, bathtub, high chair and buckle him in to make sure he is safe. I am also grateful that Karston feels safe enough in my arms that when he is scared he knows he can come to me and I will provide some sort of protection. Heavy burden for me as a parent, but comforting to know that he trusts me with his life and the scary water monster from the air bubbles in the water pipes moments!

5. I am grateful for the opportunity I have of bringing life into this world. Forget about the nausea and the tiredness, and the uncomfortableness of having a baby. It is amazing that my body actually creates another little human inside me in such a little tiny space! What an absolute blessing. Especially when you can feel it kick, move or do whatever there is nothing more AMAZING than that feeling! Then to see the final product... Priceless! (Isn't that like a commercial or something hahaha Yes I know I am just so clever)

Well that is it for today more tomorrow! This is actually kind of fun! It makes me excited for November 4 to quickly come!!! Have a great night, day or whatever it is wherever you are to read this!!!

November=Greatful Hearts!

So my sister-in-law Jodi told me to start reading this blog named the Nie Nie Dialogues. So I did and soon after, found myself not only in tears, but feeling utterly selfish. The blog is about this lady named Stephanie who was in a plane crash (along with her husband who was burned, but not as bad as Stephanie)and at least 80% of her body was burned. She started the blog before her accident, and has continued the blog when she became able. Reading it truly does make you feel grateful for the small and simple things in life as well as realize the blessings that come from our Heavenly Father and the miracles that can happen with prayer and faith that can move mountains! So since it is November the month we give thanks I am going to try and post 5 things I am grateful for every day!

So since I am behind here is my list for the past 2 days!!!!

November 1

1. I am grateful for the gospel! I know this seems like a typical answer from a Mormon, but really it is very true! I love the fact that I am never alone and that I will be with my family FOREVER! They are my most prized possession which is good because I can't take anything else with me when I die, but I will always have them which makes me want to do better every day!

2. I am grateful for my Hubby! He was and still is the very best thing that has ever happened to me. I love the fact that I know I can always count on him and he will never let me down. He takes care of me and Karston. He truly has a good heart, and most importantly he loves me and he tells me everyday. He doesn't leave without telling us that he loves us even though it means he wakes us up at 6:30 every morning, and honestly I wouldn't want it any other way!!!

3. I am grateful for my health! Reading the Nie Nie blog makes me more appreciative of my EASY morning getting ready routine, and the fact that I can get up and feel good and not have to take 100 pills and wake up in pain due to my skin tightening.

4. I am grateful for my family! It is so nice to know that they will always be there for me no matter what!

5. I am grateful for FALL! Yes I know this is odd because I really hate being cold, but the colors and the beauty that come from it nothing better! I LOVE! It is just so refreshing!

November 2:

1. I am grateful for my opportunity to vote!

2. I am grateful for kids! If you know me you know I always love being with small little humans! They are not only cute, but they are innocent and just full of useful knowledge! Even though sometimes it is a little off the wall they are so creative and if you notice nothing really seems to bother them except for when it comes to sharing their toys! (Man how would that be to only worry about sharing your toys)

3. I am grateful for the sweet snuggles Karston gives his momma! LOVE IT!!!!

4. I am grateful to be able to hear Karston's cute little voice especially when he tries to say new words!

5. I am grateful for Makeup! hahahah funny I know. But man it is sure nice to have some magic cover up when you wake up looking like an 18 month old had a red marker and put little red spots all over your face! (Don't judge you know I am right!) :)

So that is it for now! Tomorrow (or today) has to be over before I can post what I am grateful for for November 3!
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

HALLOWEEN!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!! We had a great day! We won a costume contest, we were visited by the Brownies a fun family tradition :) and Karston made a HAUL with candy! Mostly because he is a greedy little candy monster! He would run up to the doors and he would push all his cousins out of his way to make sure that he got not one but TWO pieces from every house. He would not leave until they gave him a piece in each hand and then when we got back to grandma's and grandpa's he proceeded to TRY and steal all the candy from his cousins trick or treat bag, but was unsuccessful at that! So here are some pictures from our fall activities including Halloween! Apple picking, Pumpkin carving, Tractor riding, and a fun trailer ride we took with all the monsters out to a field my father-in-law, mother-in-law, and Doug was at. It was TONS of fun! I got to ride in the trailer with the kids. They were so cute and fun! Hope you all had a great October! We sure did!!!!!
