WELCOME TO CAMP PURCELL! WHERE WE BUILD ETERNAL FAMILIES!

So this Monday we had an AWESOME family home evening! We did something I have ALWAYS wanted to do and it was tons and TONS of fun!!! Doug came home from work and found the first note on the back of the door. He never would have guess what he was walking into after that! Needless to say he was REALLY surprised when he walked into the living only to find our camping tent set up! We played games and read scriptures and just had a great time being with each other. The only down side was that Doug was really sick, but he did his best to be upbeat and to let loose and just have fun with his family! Karston LOVED playing in the tent rolling everywhere. It was a great night and I think we are going to make it an annual tradition! I think I can only handle turning my house into a campground once a year!!! It was a great family memory!

Darn Carwash!!!

So yesterday I decided that since it was a nice day I would take my car in and have it washed and vacuumed. Yeah that was a VERY VERY bad decision on my part. I am pretty sure that I have traumatized my kid forever. The car wash was so loud Karston didn't stop screaming for a few hours after the event and then last night he probably dreamed about it and remembered what a bad experience it was because again he woke up at 3:00 and he cried for a few hours. POOR baby. I tell ya life is so very tough when your 17 pounds and 28 inches! :)

Sing Us A Song Your The Piano Man...

Doug came home for lunch and decided to play the piano with Karston. It is so cute Karston sat alone and danced when he played the piano or when Doug played. After Doug left I let him stay there and play for a little bit and he sang me a very beautiful song! It was SOOOOO cute!

Happy Engagement Day!!!

So Doug and I don't celebrate the 14 instead we celebrate the 13 because that is the day that Doug proposed to me. This year it we just stayed home and Doug made me a lovely dinner and brought me 13 roses. 12 Orange roses and 1 red rose. Karston made his first valentine cookies with his cousins Raegan and Kiler. As you can see from the pics he really enjoyed the frosting!

Thanks grandma and grandpa Cox

Since Karston hasn't felt the greatest grandma and grandpa Cox bought him two fun little toys. The first one was a little duck which giggles if you touch his toes, and the second toy is a music box. It has all different kinds of instruments on it and when you push it that instrument plays a little song for you. Karston loved it. He loves music but his very favorite of the two is the little duck. He does his little cheesy grin and moves his mouth up and down but won't make any noise. It is so funny to watch. With the music box he tries to be like Grandpa Purcell and lead the music. It is so funny. So from Karston to grandma and grandpa Cox thankyou for the visit and for the toys. I really love them! Love Karston!!!

Sick baby

So I had originally planned to stay up at Island Park until Wednesday so that I could get caught up on some homework. Sadly the weekend was cut short because my poor little man was spiking fevers up to 105.4. So being the nervous first time momma that I am we decided to pack things up and come home. He had a lot of luke warm baths which he hated and lots of cool cloths on the head. In fact when we got home Doug put him in his favorite swing (provided by Aunt Jodi) and he hugged it and layed down and went to sleep in it. It was tender. It breaks my heart when he is sick he just looks so miserable and I hate it when I can't fix him. Luckily we think that he is on the mend now. Doctor's think it is just a virus and should go away really soon. We love you baby and are VERY happy that you are starting to feel better! Thanks Jodi and Blaine for letting us bug you with all of our questions. You guys are both AWESOME and we love you very much!!!

ISLAND PARK!!!

Friday we left to go to Island Park for the weekend. Doug and I went snowmobiling with our friends Luke and Nancy. We had a great time. I crashed a lot and got lots of bruises but all in all had a fun time and would so go again! I have never riden a sled by myself so it was fun learning how. As anyone would know with learning you crash a lot SO here is a little peak of my crashing experiences. I crashed 3 times more but 3 really good ones! The first one was when I was going WAY to fast and didn't see one of those man made ditches OWIE! I was so surprised I didn't fly off. I julted forward smaked my noggin on the windshield part and hit my knees really hard. Didn't feel great but still didn't stop me. The second crash was when Doug was teaching me how to turn on my side well I didn't get hurt but I sure burried the sled. I was tired after getting that out but it still didn't stop me. The LAST crash however was the best. I figure if your going to crash do it well so the last one (as embarrasing as it is) was when we were parking the sleds. I guess I came around a little too fast because I hit some ice. The sled did a circle then fell over I smacked my head really hard on the ice (talk about an immediate headache) and somehow hurt the old butt bone. I hurried got up Luke flipped the sled over and I went right inside. That one stopped me!!! I was incredibly sore the next day but all in all had a great time. I am very glad for the helmet what a wonderful invention they are!!! These pics are of Doug he had a really great time. He crashed to just not as bad as I did. All in all we had a very VERY fun Saturday!

Karston's new buddy!

So last week Doug, Karston, and I had so much fun. We stayed with the Baird boys while their parents were out of town. They were all so much fun and Karston was in HEAVEN!!! He absolutely LOVES the oldest Britton. He will make such a great daddy one day. He fed Karston and tried to put him to sleep and played with him lots. Karston was always happy whenever he saw Britton or any of the boys for that matter. Maybe he gets tired of just having momma around so it was probably nice for him to have some man time. Thanks Baird family for a great time. Hopefully we will do it again soon! Your family is AWESOME!!!
