Karston Turns 5!!!!!

Oh my goodness I can't believe I am already writing a post about my baby boy turning 5. It so doesn't seem like it has been that long already. He wanted to have a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party this year so that is what he got. I have to say I don't know why he chose this because he has never seen them and frankly I think if he did he wouldn't like it all because it is scary and he does NOT like to watch scary things. He likes to DO scary things but not watch it. So anyways we ran with it anyways and it was lots of fun and I think the kids had an absolute blast with it too.
My bestie helping me set things out and get ready for the big Birthday Event. We of course had to have pizza.
Here are a few of the decorations. Explanations if needed will be coming later.
With the help of Misty we made masks for each of out friends/cousins. I thought they turned out super cute!
Doug made an Alley for them to fight in down in our basement. The bad guys were the balloons they had to whack down.
All the turtles getting ready to eat their energy Food..... PIZZA!!!

Karston and his new buddy Hayes. He just moved up the street from us. They will be going to Kindergarten together this year! :)

After pizza we played Pin the Pizza on the Turtle. I am always surprised how much kids like this game.

From left to right we have: Hayes, Ellie, Bryton, Porter, Karston (looking so happy) and Mr. Ryan.
Then we did presents. Ryan gave him some awesome Sea Monkeys. We had fun with them.
Bryton gave him a super hero. Sorry I don't know who. I can't tell in the picture.
Porter gave him some awesome new tractor/heavy machine vehicles. Awesome!!!!
Hayes gave him some Bubbles and I think the Ammon statue. Which he LOVES!
Ellie and Coleman gave him some legos. This one was an airplane. I didn't even know he liked legos.
I have a ninja hiding in my fridge. He hid there and I do have to say it did scare me a little bit when I went to close the fridge only to find a human hiding inside it.
Then it was time..... Doug made all the kids their own sword out of PVC pipe, a swimming noodle, and some Electrical tape. He again did such a great job. He then hung up all these enemies for the kids to fight, changed the light bulb so it looked freaky like an ally way and played the Ninja!

The kids LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! Oh man they thought it was the best idea EVER! Then once they got into it Doug jumped in and fought him for awhile and then they ran him off. None of them thought it was Doug. He was quick to change his clothes and came running back inside telling the kids he saw a ninja jump out of our window and was running up the street. They all were pretty stoked by that idea. So much fun!
Misty and Doug getting in on some Pin the pizza on the turtle action. I love their faces with these masks on.
Then it was of course time for cake. I made a camo cake but it had issues and kind of broke. It was good though. So that made up for the messiness of the cake.

Then I guess the kids decided they wanted to take Selfies. I feel like if there was a selfie award for best picture my little Ryan would totally have it in the bag. Hands down. This face just cracks me up! Love him so much!
 Hayes and his Sword.
After everyone left Karston got out his presents again and decided to build some things so his very first thing was an airplane. This kid with little direction from me built this airplane. He is so smart I love it!

On his actual birthday we had family and friends over for cupcakes and ice cream. Look at this handsome little 5 year old.

Jayden and Cooper turned these chairs into butterflies. They were flying around and the chairs are their wings. So clever they are!

 Mr. Max

Building a log truck with Grampie. Some of these are very difficult and have such teeny tiny pieces.
Grammy and Jayden having snuggle time after all things were said and done.

It was a great day. I sure love my Karston boy. He has the most loving and giving heart. He is always concerned for others and has such a sweet testimony. He brightens my every day and without him I would be one sad momma. Happy birthday baby boy! I love you with all my heart and so much more!
